The Far Away Land of Iraq... You lucky you live in Hawaii, cause the temperature is rising by the day. We have had some REALLY hot days, like in the 120’s. That’s just the beginning. The last unit that was here before us recorded temperatures in the high 130’s. So we still have a ways to go. We have daily alarms for mortar and rocket attacks. PTL it hasn’t come close to our area of operations. I feel we are making progress with the training of the Iraqi Army. Bases like ours all over this country are training the local army to take over the defense of their country. It will be a matter of time before they are able to take over, but eventually they will be the main force, till then the coalition will be here to assist them. Say hi to all the gang, sorry won’t be able to attend any of the functions. This is a picture of me with our brigade logo that was painted on one of our protective barrier in front of our building.
